Mint is not a washed-out Albo. The pattern is usually a cool, misty wash, sometimes with near-white patches.
It grows slowly. Do not compensate with extra water. Mint roots collapse quickly in a dense mix.
Strong indirect light all day is what keeps the mint layer. In shade, new leaves come in darker and more even.
