Aurea (sometimes sold as yellow Marmorata) needs more light than a fully green plant to keep the gold. In low light the yellow tissue greens out and the pattern dulls.
Do not mist leaves in strong sun. The gold tissue is thin and marks easily.
Use a fast mix, a pot that only just fits the roots, and wait to up-pot until the root mass has taken the container.
